In an MCN road test in 1979 Brian Tarbox described the diminutive 500cc Guzzi V50 as the best handling bike he had ever ridden ! granted motorcycling was just about coming out of the dark ages at the time however the V50 does have some admirable attributes even by classic bike standards. Light weight with a low centre of gravity, and the torquey and reliable Guzzi twin engine made these bikes quite popular then and today.
This MK II version from 1979 has had 4 previous owners and is showing 7,146 miles which is backed up by 12 old MoT’s going back to 1991 when the mileage was just 2,485.
In very good all round condition this example is a very fine unmolested and very original example. With an MoT until Sept. 2017 it is also suppled with the original owners handbook, a workshop manual and the V5C logbook.
