This fine example of the 500cc ’88’ Dominator was registered in 1955 and has had five recorded owners on the current V5 logbook, the last change of ownership in April 2017.
According to notes in the history file dating July 2011 this machine was first restored by Ray Hale of Benfleet, Essex, a well-known Norton specialist. This work included an engine rebuild with Superblend bearings. Further restoration work was carried out by JMC in 2018 and the gearbox and front brake rebuilt by the late Mick Hemmings in 2019, this included a 5 speed upgrade. The bike also has a primary belt drive fitted.
In total recent restoration and maintenance bills total about £9,500. The end result is a fine riding and mechanically well sorted example, cosmetically the bike remains in good general order and is fitted with alloy rims. Showing 2,468 miles it has only covered about 1,700 miles in the last 10 years !
