It’s a little known fact that the Sachs Motor Co. is one of the World’s oldest motorcycle manufacturers, the first bike being produced in 1904. Based in Nuremberg Germany the company built a modern reputation for producing high quality bicycles but also a number of very powerful two stroke engines that were used in many trails and motocross bikes of the 1970’s and 80’s.
With typical German attention to detail and build quality the 800 Roadster was introduced into the market in 2000 and used a variety of component parts, Grimeca brakes, Paioli upside down forks and the super reliable Suzuki water cooled V Twin 800cc Intruder engine with shaft drive.
A relatively rare sight on the roads of Britain this example is one of the last produced being a 2004 model, UK registered 14th August. Having had just two owners from new and showing 22,209 km it remains in excellent condition all round, supplied with UK V5C, service history and an MoT until Nov. 2021.
