Records show that this 650cc Tiger was first registered here in the UK 22nd Sept. 1955 and is showing as having 6 owners in total. A non matching number machine the engine appears to be from 1956 and was the subject to a rebuild in 2011 with new pistons and bearings, the history file contains a number of bills and invoices for parts which also shows other restoration and repair work which includes the front forks, brakes and speedo which is now showing 2,000 miles. There is an MoT dated from 2011 which shows the milage then to be 26,845 if we assume the clock was zero’d when it was rebuilt in 2011 the total milage of the bike from new is aprox 29,000 miles.
In generally very fine condition the frame and the body work appears to have been repainted and is still in very good order, as is the wheels, fork legs and headlamp nacelle. The engine starts easily, has no smoke, plenty of grunt and has fine throaty note from exhaust, which had new silencers also fitted in 2011.
Overall this is a well presented example in very good running order supplied with a good history. Pre unit examples such as this are becoming increasing valuable, this is a good riding example that is ready to go.
